Content | This farman contains a tax exemption from the non-canonical tradetax (jihat) for all inhabitants of Taliqan that is to start from the beginning of the "year of the dog" (it-yil). There is also the order to engrave the farman in stone to guarantee obedience to the regulations. | |

Notes | It is engraved in albaster at the Imamzadah-yi Harun and dated Rajab 999, clearly one year after the death of Shah Tahmasp I. Nevertheless, the author of the present article attributes the document to the above mentioned Shah without giving reasons. Assuming the correctness of this thesis, the proper date would be 1574 which was the last it-yil in the reign of Shah Tahmasp. | |
